Ben was super awesome and fast. Very helpful. Would call all the time if lost keys. It was early in the morning and came at a fast manner.
Berlin K.
Showed up quickly and did the job! Ben was super helpful and opened my door right away.

Really it's 4.5 Stars. Though a quick answer on the call which, I appreciate, the initial call was hasty and little less than pleasing. That's the .5 star off. However, they got the point as I was ready to pass, and service became more accommodating. Additionally, David, the young technician was a super cool dude. Friendly and got the job done in less than 10 minutes. Thanks!

My neighbor locked himself out of his house around 11:00 pm and without his phone. I called Ben's 24/7 and Daniel immediately answered. He deployed a locksmith who called to let us know his ETA, and then arrived within 20 minutes of the initial call. He was able to get him in quickly upon arriving. I can't speak to the pricing, as I didn't need the service, but both gentleman from the company were professional and arrived quickly! Would definitely use them again if needed!

Where do I even begin??!! This company is amazing!!! I got "locked out" of my apartment yesterday because the bolt became faulty. It supposedly wasn't latching on correctly for me to turn my door knob to fully be able to open my door. Called them yesterday and they had a locksmith at my place within 20 minutes. He had to break off the lock, unfortunately, but at least I was able to get into my apartment lol. He checked the "bolt" on my door and confirmed it was faulty but because my place was built in the 80s I believe, it was hard to find the piece he needed. They called around to several places and got a hold of one and will be installing it today. I'M SO THRILLED!!! Thank you so much!!!
Arijit C.
We got locked out and I called David for a quote and urgent appointment. He was quite friendly and offered me a discounted price. The technician Tom arrived on time and opened the door within 10 minutes. Appreciate their professionalism and service in helping us out of a soup. Would recommend and avail their service in future.
Mae S.
David came over 20 min after I called and rescued my 2 kids who were locked inside of a bedroom that didn't even have a lock on the door! For some reason the latch mechanism broke and they were trapped for over 2 hours. He was as concerned about them as I was and managed to use some inflatable cushions to create space between the door and the frame then use a small screwdriver like tool to force the latch open. He explained to me that typically he replaces the latch, but our doors and handles/latch mechanism are all custom made, so we have to order a new one. The downfalls of custom made products... =( But good to know if you have a standard door/latch! The supervisor followed up by phone to make sure he arrived on time and again after he left to make sure that all went well. Very happy with the service! Thank you!
Doris Z.
Great service! He took a little longer than the time he said, but he was and friendly and super quick.

David was so nice to take my call on a Saturday night at 11pm. He quickly send the tech to unlock the door for us. 30 min later we were in the house. Thank you so much guys!
Lacee S.
My friend and I lost the key to her car last night and the first company that popped up was Ben's 24/7 Locksmith. We were in a panic being that it was close to midnight in a neighborhood that we weren't familiar with. We called Ben's and they were so kind and understanding. Asking us if we were okay and not to worry as they'd be there as soon as possible. They got to us in under 30 minutes and couldn't have been more sweet and comforting. The technician waited until we were safe in our car to leave since we were two women out at night. I could not be happier with the price and service I received. If you want a company you can really trust please choose Ben's. You will not regret it.
Jessica W.
We asked for service on a Sunday night and he was quick to give us a very good price and ask a technician to contact us with an ETA. Tech said about 30 minutes---55 minutes later he says 10 more minutes---then doesn't show up for more than a half hour longer. We were also told we could pay with a card. We said we could run to an atm before the tech got there because we didn't have enough cash on hand, but we were told card would be fine. But by the time the tech got here and did the job it was about 11 pm and we begin being told that they will only take cash so I have to drive to an atm (which we could have done while we were waiting over an hour and a half for the tech to show). He did tell me later that this tech was not his usual one. Conclusion: Call if you need service quickly at an affordable price, but ask if he or his usual tech will be coming.
vinson l.
David thank you. These guys were quick and courteous. Even when I checked around and came back their quote remained the same. It took them only 20 minutes to get to South San Jose at 9p.m and another 3 minutes to open the door. I would highly recommend them if any lock related issue comes up.
Casey S.
Fast, friendly and honest! I called and spoke to Ben at 12:15am, when most other companies are already closed. He answered and gave me a reasonable quote right off the bat. He explained the process and had a technician out to me very quickly. The technician was fast and nice. Opened the door for me quickly and the best part my door lock still works. I was back in my house by 12:45am which was great because it was late at night, I had my dogs with me and my phone was on low battery. A+++
Jessica s.
Called and some one to fix a door that was broken into at my office. Needed something done urgently. After calling around and getting nothing but answering machines called here. Owner answered and had someone to my place with in 30 min. Was given a fair price and a good warranty on the service.
Tommy P.
Fast great service! We were accidentally locked out and they were able to come over and get us back in fast. Would definitely recommend Ben's 24/7 and will use them again if needed.
Sean E.
These guys came through for us when we accidentally locked ourselves out. Available within 30 minutes on a weekend night was incredibly helpful, and the pricing was competitive. The technician that came by was professional and introduced himself before helping us get back in. Plus it's convenient because they take card. Will keep their number in case the unfortunate happens again.
Marcy M.
Got locked out of the house around midnight and they replied SO fast, with a great quote. The owner even called the following day to see if everything went smoothly with the tech he sent out! Definitely recommending them, beyond great service. Thank you for being so friendly and your tech too.
Mai L.
Great company! Called them at 11:30pm because I got locked outside my apartment, withing 25 minutes the locksmith came and opened the door really fast! Very professional guys, great costumer service and very fair pricing! They will definitely be my go-to locksmith! Highly recommend!
Brian K.
Hired Ben's 24/7 Locksmith on 10/27/17 to install a new double door entry handle set. The tech arrived more than a hour late. He then was having trouble so I asked more than once that he stop and return with someone more experienced. He kept saying he could complete the job, but ended up damaging both sides of the doors. He also drilled the hole for the right handle lower than the left door handle, causing the handles to be at different levels. He installed the top base plate of one handle crooked. Unfortunately, I was now running late for another appointment and didn't notice the mistake until after the tech left with my check for $978.00. I later contacted Ben's to fix the mistakes but Ben's second tech could only correct the crooked base plate. He left with the handles still out of alignment. I made repeated attempts for a refund, later even a partial refund. They were refused or ignored. Eventually, Ben's offered $350.00 but I never received a check and Ben's has stopped replying to my inquiries. I've repeatedly requested their Business, Locksmith and/or Contractor's license numbers but they have not responded. I've also done my own research and it appears that Ben's 24/7 may be unlicensed. Unfortunately, I appear to be out of luck but hope my review can help you avoid the same fate. I strongly recommend that you avoid this company.
Dan M.
Highly recommended. This is an honest business. I called to inquire about a lock re-key service and the owner told me that he can gladly do it but i can save money if i go to Home Depot or OSH. They would do it cheaper. I was amazed at his honestly! When was the last time a business treated you like this and refused to take your money just to help you? And he was also right - OSH was able to do it for a very low fee and took them less than 30 minutes. If you bought the locks there, they don't even charge you. For any other locksmith services - i would call Ben's 24/7 business in a hearth beat . His advice and genuine desire to help me instead of just charging me $$$ for his services makes me a customer for life! Well done, sir!

CALL AHEAD BEFORE VISITING!!! I have used them in the past. However, This is a review of their hours of operation. I have visited Sarco's three times in the past six weeks to get some keys copied. Each time I have been, on a weekday, during normal business hours, they have been closed. One time was for a graduation, another time I can't recall, and today I see that they're closed for "summer vacation" for the next few weeks. SO FRUSTRATING! This is not an ad for this business, however each time I have ended up at San Mateo lock works instead where they are super nice and do a great job. I will never, ever waste my time driving to Sarco's again, and if you are in a hurry and set on using their service, I would call ahead to make sure they are open. Otherwise, don't bother. Their priorities are elsewhere.

Fast and quality service.

I've used the guys around the corner for some time. No complaints with them. Have seen Sarco's shop for years in front of Trag's though never when I needed him. Thot I'd give him a try to duplicate my car ignition. He was charming and agreeable from the start. Knowledgeable, patient, moderately-priced. He made double-sure the new key worked for the car, even as I was ready to drive away without checking. As a small businessman, I know how important it is to make a good impression the first time around. Sarco more than succeeded.
Marcine J.
We just hired Sarco for the 2nd time and will always go to him first for anything lock related. He has years of experience and is super nice to work with. Also big props to Sarco for being so patient with my husband, who was seriously geeking out over locks and really enjoyed learning from him. :)

I had my broken Lexus car keys copied here. They suffer from a weak design and break near the base after a few years. After 1 month despite being very careful to hold the key near the base when turning it cracks started to appear in the new key Sarco sold me for $95. After 3 months the new key completely fell apart. I went back to Sarco to ask for it to be replaced, and even offered to pay part of the cost, but Sarco refused to do anything but charge me full price for a new key copy. I expect that his stock of Lexus blanks is cheap Chinese crap, and old, and they break easily, but this is no way to treat a customer.
Brian T.
Mr Sarco could not have been nicer. He showed up on time to our scheduled appointment to re-key the new house we just bought and took care of everything quickly from his mobile vehicle. Super convenient, reasonably priced and the special care you only get from long time, local small businesses these days.
Victor L.
Needed to change out my locks quick. Great service. Reasonable prices. Been there for years. They're surrounded by all these new eateries. Probably a matter of time before rising rents is going to drive them out. Support these small businesses.
Josh G.
Fast and professional when it came to getting a new duplicate key for my Honda CR-V. Very helpful in giving options for a buttonless key or just transferring the transponder fob onto a new blank shell. He also gave suggestions to reduce the chances of having the key break again. Great work and even saved me over $100 in comparison to going to a Honda dealership
Nick Moore
Excellent Customer Service and quality work.
Andy C.
Sarco's is friendly and remarkably fast--I've made key copies with him several instances and each time, he completed the task right then and there. His rates are very reasonable as well. Thank you!
Eudora T.
a gem of a small business in downtown San Mateo. excellent service, honest and lovely. Do your research online but come here to get all your door key/lock needs. It is hard to beat a caring, knowledgeable live person who charges reasonably.
Sil P.
Amazing, super fast, pleasant and great customer service. Thank you.
Trevor Carver
Really great service and really fast would definitely recommend to anyone
Alexandra D.
Based on my experience 5-star rating for the following: 1) professionalism 2) customer service 3) promptness, accuracy and efficiency of service 4) great selection 5) short service time, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes 6) they are so good, I was recommended by another locksmith! (This last point speaks volumes as to their work)
Van N.
Sarco is very friendly and patient. He will explain things in a gentle manner even if you have many questions. He is very respectful of your time. Sarco asked me to text him pictures of the house doors and locks. He even came out for a free evaluation. You can get the cost in writing. Prices are very reasonable. He will even bring out a binder that will show a range of locks from simple to intricate.
Jane M.
I needed a duplicate key for a closet. A regular hardware store didn't have the template for the key, but Mr. Sarco did, and took care of it immediately.
Lind G.
Needed to make an extra copy of keys that Home Depot couldn't copy. Went in and out in less than 2 minutes.
Ken L.
Very fast, friendly service. Got two keys made in less than 5 minutes. They have a huge selection of key blanks and several options for key identifiers. I would definitely go back to Sarco without hesitation.
Rob V.
Went to Home Depot and wasted my time, that place is just a bunch of monkeys humping a football type of bad... Sarcos took care of me like grandma takes care of a hunger. Made my motorcycle keys as well, he was making a copy from a bent master but his copies work better than the original ever did.
Jon K.
Sarco helped me duplicate a set of car keys that other folks have been unable to do. He has a large inventory of key blanks and made one for me immediately, and then special ordered a FOB key for my vehicle as well, which came in less than a week later. All in all, he saved me a trip to the dealer, which saved me at least $100. Plus, I really appreciated his prompt and professional service. Highly recommended!
Kimberly N.
Your integrity and assistance is greatly appreciated. You will be the first call should ever need assistance again.
Sarah S.
Fantastic, full-service locksmith, key smith and all-around superior service-oriented gentleman/owner running the place. I highly recommend Sarco's for any locking need.
jagruti p.
This guy is waaaaaay cheaper than the other locksmiths in the area. He was prompt and thorough. I highly recommend him!

My business was broken into on a Saturday morning. They responded within 4 hours to assess the damage. George was great! He made sure my business was secure for the evening. He was back out on Monday to complete the rest of the repairs. Jesse and Eric were very helpful on the over the phone and communicated well to make everything was done. Thank you again!!
Gayatri Vilas N.
Fast and accurate service. I went to get duplicate house keys. I got 3 duplicate keys within 5 minutes.

I was in a hectic situation today with contractors installing doors at my place, and many locks that weren't keyed together. I took all the locks and a pile of keys over to these guys last minute before closing on a Saturday. I wasn't expecting anyone to be happy about it--but these guys were awesome. Super friendly, helpful, and quick. Severin (probably butchering his name) was the kind of guy you want to run into when you need help in a pinch. Great attitude and he went above and beyond to help me when he could've understandably put it off until Monday. He showed me how to use the SmartKey tech on the locks and fixed the one I failed with. Great team at San Mateo Lock Works. Thanks for the help today guys!
Douglas Walls
The lock on my front door knob failed. I was hoping to have it repaired, but replacement parts are not available. So they were going to order me a replacement knob, which would take 2-4 weeks to arrive. But then one of the guys suggested checking their stock room, and found an acceptable match that was cheaper than the exact match to be ordered, and supposedly of higher quality. As I did all the installation work, I cannot give a rating on that. But as to providing a solution to my problem, with courtesy and professionalism, they were great!
Tanner T.
Michael was quick and professional. Had the lock replaced in a matter of minutes. Would definitely recommend.
Kristina L.
Came here to get a duplicate of a key. Would've been super fast but I couldn't decide. Eric was super helpful, funny and put up with me deciding between and leopard print or Hello Kitty key.
David L.
Great communication, fast and prompt and clear with what needs to be done. If you want a great locksmith, call these guys!
Wallace Y.
Michael came over to the house and I explained the problem we had with that key and lock. The key would just turn and not engage to bolt. Michael explained the issue and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. The people at San Mateo Lock Works are incredibly knowledgeable and experienced at what they do. If you ever need a good lock smith, try these folks. Also their shop is located in downtown San Mateo. If you ever drop in, you'll love their friendly people. Thanks guys!
Toy O.
San Mateo Lock Works sent a young guy, named Everett. Everett said hi, went up to the door, took out a pick and had my door open in under 20 seconds. He didn't even scratch the knob. Oh, and I was quoted an estimated price on the phone and charged $25.00 less than the estimate. AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED RIGHT BEFORE THAT: I called their 800 # when I locked myself out of the house the other day. I stated that I had a 70 year old Schlage lock that I needed PICKED. The guy said, 'it shouldn't be a problem, but they "may have to replace the lock."' Then he gave me this really low ball figure. A few minutes later, a second guy called me to confirm my request and my address. 30 minutes later, a guy shows up. I asked, "Are you going to have any trouble PICKING this lock?" He replies, confidently, "There isn't a lock I can't open." Then, he walks to the door, looks at it and informs me: 1) This lock has a 13" tumbler and can't be picked. 2) The lock is rusty and has to be replace, anyway. 3) He's going to have to drill the lock. I'll need to replace the whole works. 4) I didn't have to worry because his shop was 10 minutes away and AFTER he drilled the lock, he'd come 'right back' with a new door knob. Facts: 1) There are no 13" anythings in this lock. 2) There are no tumblers in this lock. 3) There was no rust in the lock. 4) It's a brass lock. You make locks from brass because IT DOES NOT RUST. 5) If you know how to drill a lock, you only need to replace the lock cylinder. 6) If you can put a key in a lock, it's a pickable. Now, I don't want to judge him harshly on possible misinformation. So I called a client whose company probably made the drill bit "Nameless Locksmith" wants to use to destroy my door knob. Nameless and Client speak for almost about 10 seconds. Client tells me to call a locksmith. So I tell Nameless that I'm calling a locksmith. He tells me I have to pay him for driving all the way to lie to me. I tell him to sue me. He says, I'm not leaving until you pay me. I explained to him that I was very specific about what I wanted done so his company would not send out the wrong person for the job. If he was not qualified, he should not have been sent. I did not request that someone show up and lie to me. He said, the lock is rusty, you want me to show you? I said, "Absolutely." He said, "I'm not leaving until you pay me." I told him to get comfortable. I called another company , San Mateo Lock Works. And Nameless Locksmith left.

This is a friendly and professional shop. I only needed a house key copied, but it was one that key copy machines had repeatedly failed to replicate properly. There were more staff than customers when I walked in so I was helped right away. They made sure to tell me the (very reasonable) price up-front, and I got my key in a minute or two. It works just fine.

This was the third of fourth time I have called on San Mateo Lock Works. My 20-year old Baldwin lock was loose and needed some love before it got worse. Everette arrived, quickly diagnosed, the problem and fixed it in about 1/2 hours. I feel like I have a brand new lock.
Phillip M.
Stunning lack of indifference Suggest you try somebody else first
Sunny S.
One of our original automatic smart key for the Mazda 2013 CX-5 was broken so San Mateo Lock Works made a new key for us. It cost: $322 plus $0.50 metered parking outside of its store this morning. Even though we're glad that we have a new working key now still feels that it's rather costly. However, we have no prior experience of this matter so I thought simply to share our experience with you here for your future reference.
Iusethis F.
Wow, super fast and friendly keys made. I wish I came here before osh and lowes. Highly recommend
Jeanne H.
One of the exhibits at my workplace has a weird lock with a weird key. I and my volunteers need to access it every day, but I inherited the damaged key (ring slot is damaged, not the functional part) and I needed one for the volunteers. ACE Hardware in Belmont had a limited selection of blanks and suggested Keylo in San Carlos (should have listened), but I wanted to give these guys a shot because, frankly, their location looked amazing. I was helped promptly and answered a few questions, but the vibe became instantly unfriendly, when I was asked about what the key was for (glass exhibit door) and then immediately if I had permission to have my own key. I realize it's a legitimate question to ask, but a little less hostility in asking would go a long way. The locksmith did look through his walls of keys and went online, but came back to me and said I had an imported key he did not have the blank to and gave me back the key. I asked if I had any options or if there was some other person/place he could recommend and the answer was "No". The only thing missing from the entire interaction was "Shoo, shoo!" before I walked out of the door. I would have waited longer and paid whatever it took to get that key special ordered, but I wasn't given that option (or any other option). My weird key is currently at Keylo where they are going to try to manufacture a duplicate from another blank. I don't know if they'll be successful yet, but at least they're trying.

I had a nightmare to the start of my day: put all my belongings in my office and then accidentally locked myself out. No phone. No car keys. Nothing! After attempting to find a spare key and getting no luck, I ran over to San Mateo Lock Works. In less than half an hour they had my door unlocked and I could go about the rest of my day at work! I was so thankful and grateful for their friendly, professional, and QUICK service.
Mason L.
Awesome guys, been around 91 years.. super efficient and fast and we'll priced. Support your local biz

We had a complicated replacement car key situation with our 2003 Honda Accord..they knew what do to at a reasonable price..SMLW rocks!

Rekey my locks in minutes TWICE! I was in and out of the shop in under 10minutes with a new lock and a new set of keys. (They said i was lucky and got in at the right time ;) - 11am on a Saturday. Went home and came back with another lock and again done in under 10mins. They are really nice, knowledgeable and speedy! Price wise for the speed and convenience i think it's reasonable. 2 locks and 3 keys for $45. The bonus - garage right behind and plenty of street parking (if you cone at the right time).
Nicholas J.
While they're definitely not the kind of place you want to go bargain hunting, if you need some bizarre part for some bizarre commercial lock and don't want to wait around for UPS after ordering from the manufacturer, they probably have one in stock and know exactly where it is--today. That is much, much more than can be said of most locksmiths in the bay area. I happen to have all the tools to key my own cylinders and bore my own holes so I am unlikely to ever need their installation services, but having done enough of that sort of work for myself, I have a feeling that many of the one star reviews complaining about them "ruining" structurally unsound doors are from the same kind of people who complain when the plumber doesn't replace their tile and drywall after knocking holes in it to fix the pipes they're actually licensed to. I have never found their staff anything but pleasant and courteous to deal with myself. You don't call a locksmith if you need extensive carpentry work, folks.
F K.
Walked in and asked to have a key copied. Handed over the key, paid, and walked out in less than 3 mins. Used the key on my lock--success it worked. Inexpensive and quick.
Adrian A.
Great service!!! Brought in my sliding door lock to get it re-keyed and they got it done in 20mims. I'll come back to these guys if I ever need that kind of service again. A+++

I recently used Dad's Locksmith to re-key the locks and install a new door lock and deadbolt on the house we just purchased. Rich gave me an estimate over the phone and told me what the various charges would be. He also let me know to check the various types of manufacture's locks (e.g. Schlage, Baldwin, etc) that were at the house and which would work with the same type of key. This allowed me to know which locks I would have to change out if I only wanted one type of key for the whole house. I then went to Home Depot and picked up a door knob / deadbolt set before hand and he installed it when he showed up. He arrived exactly on time, was courteous, professional, and had the job done within an hour.
Sarah J.
Excellent. Reliable. Fast with lowest prices of 5 places called. Nothing else I could ask for. I am very happy and have new locks on all my doors!
Janelle L.
Fast and affordable service. We discussed over the phone the options for changing our locks and he was on time, helpful and even tried to help us find our cat who we thought may have escaped out the front door. Highly recommend!
Robert C.
Ever had a key made and when you get it home you find it does not work? That is because they don't maintain their equipment. That is not the story with Dad's. We have been dealing with them for over 20 years. It has always done right. Rick fixed a lock yesterday, and now it works better than it did new. They no longer maintain a store, but he does respond to phone calls. If you need keys made, he will rendezvous with you.
J S.
Rich was timely, efficient and professional, coming to my home to rekey a number of locks. He met his estimated price and timeline well, and good quality work!
Natalie E.
I needed them in a pinch to rekey 21 locks and they squeezed me in same day to take care of this urgent matter. Service was exceptional, quality of work was great, and price was beyond fair. I would absolutely call them again and/or refer them to a friend!
Hillary P.
We've had Rich over to our house twice and both times he has done a great job! He's rekeyed our exterior doors and replaced all the handles with new ones. Very nice and professional but also personable. Cost is reasonable and he does the job right. Highly recommend!

'Dad' (Rich & son), came out within an hour of my call to open a door I had locked (with only key inside). Talk about fast, efficient, professional and totally great guys! I am over the moon with speedy reliable service with a very friendly attitude. Oh and by the way, Rich was able to cut a couple of new keys for me on the spot from his mobile shop. Fully recommend!
Martha S.
Thank you for your fast, efficient and professional service. And for fixing my sliding door. You guys are awesome.
Maria V.
I used their service a few times to install new locks, make extra keys and get mailbox lock that was missing key drilled out and replaced. They were always nice and professional. Great small business.
Heidi B.
Used them to make copies of keys for years THEY ARE NO LONGER ON LINDA MESA They are now a mobile buisness

Like the Fourth of July Parade, the Tree Lighting Ceremony, and Primos Pizza, Dad's Locksmith is one of those community pillars which helps Danville maintain its small town charm. For as long as I can remember this has been the place to go to for all of your locksmith needs. It's been around since before I was a child and I've come to consider this small business one of the anchors of the Downtown Danville area. The staff is friendly, knowledgable, and extremely helpful. They've always gone out of their way to go that extra mile to provide good olé fashioned customer service. You just won't find staff that accommodating to customer needs anywhere but a family owned business. In my opinion Dads Locksmith is very reasonably priced. Yes it's true that if you really wanted to cut coupons and wait in line bright and early on Black Friday you could buy a slightly cheaper lock at a big box store but it will be just that. You get what you pay for. You'll never find the same level of service and expertise at a big box store. I've yet to have a negative experience with their in home service. They are always reliable and On Time. That's hugely important to me when scheduling any sort of in home service appointment. If you're in the market for a new safe I would recommend you seriously consider Dads Locksmith. Go in and talk to Rich or Dylan. Tell them what you're looking for and they won't just try and push a product on you to close a sale. They'll make sure you get the right product for your needs. I don't often write Yelp reviews. When I do it is because a business has made a consistent impression on me time and again and I feel it is worth sharing. This is one such instance.

I was told to go to Dad's by the company who is refinishing our front door. We also want to change the hardware on our front door at the same time. I spoke with the owner and instead of selling me a $2,000+ lockset for our door, he suggested we take it to a place in Livermore to have it refinished. I didn't even know that was possible! He said it would be about $400. Anyone who is willing to save me $1,500+ gets 5 stars in my book! I'll use Dad's any time I have a lock or security need from now on! PS - They are closing their Danville location, but will be having a mobile business going forward and I hope they are more successful than ever!
Melissa P.
Thank you Dad's Locksmith! Came in with a trailer receiver lock that didn't have a key. They tried to pick the lock, but in the end they had to drill it out. They were nice and easy to work with. I now have new receiver lock that has a key, won't loose this key! Easy to work with and great service. Thanks!

Not too pleased with this company. I am a local Realtor who had difficulties ordering locks and dummy locks for a client's front door with Lowes. Decided to make my life easier by going to an expert. I was promised the special order item would arrive. It did not, nobody called. I made a trip down there and they said they would follow up and call me. Nobody called now they're closed for a week and my client has no door knob. Not too professional.
Joyce B.
UNRELIABLE - DESERVES TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS! I wasted 5 trips to Dad's in Danville. I was trying to replace a lock that is no longer made. First trip, I got there shortly after 1 PM on Saturday and Dad's was already closed (one hour wasted plus I had to re-install the lock). I went a 2nd time during the week. I got there at 9:45 AM. Posted hours say they open at 9:30 but there was no sign of life inside and they were not answering the phone. I was two hours late to work that day. I called the 3rd time and yes they were open. I showed them my old lock and the pieces I needed were no longer made so we talked about the options and none of which were great so I went home to think about it. We finally made the decision to replace all the entry locks to the house and I went back to Dad's a 4th time to get the four new locks I needed. They did not have "dummy knobs" for the non-operating doors but would order them. I got a call a few days later saying my ordered parts were now in. I tried to get there again during the week but could not get away from work before the weekend. Imagine my surprise when I pulled up on Saturday at 10:30 to find a note on the door saying the business was closed for the next two weeks so the owners could go on vacation. It sure would have been helpful to have that bit of information when I got the message on Thursday that my handles were in. I could have asked someone to pick up the locks for me. By this time the lock on my front door was completely non-functional. At this point, I went to a local ACE Hardware and bought new locks and had them all re-keyed. Normally, I like to try and do business with a local business, but this one is just not open when customers need them. My advice to others - GO ELSEWHERE! Don't waste your time like I did.
Joyce H.
I called Dad's Locksmith and Security yesterday's and found the customer service representative to be professional and courteous on the phone. He helped me scheduled a convenient time to come over the next day. Today, I had a great service call with Daniel, a lock technician. He called ahead, arrived early, was polite and got my front door lock fixed quickly and efficiently. I really appreciated that he checked the lock meticulously, when he was finished, to make sure I wouldn't have any problems getting in and out of my house. Overall really pleased with this company. They did a great job for me.
Jessica C.
Came recommended by another local locksmith. These guys are ready for anything. I had a jewelry box that needed a special old fashioned key to lock the top. The two men on duty were very helpful and tried 20+ keys before finding one that fit. Thank you for your time and effort; it is much appreciated :)
Mike S.
Disorganized and amateurish. Took them a long time to decide they didn't have the equipment to cut steel keys. Unable to service my lock. No lock cleaning solution for sale in store. They did not seem to be professionals who had much experience.
Barbara G.
Rich was fabulous and extremely helpful! We've always used them for our home locks since we moved to the area 13 years ago. We were recently looking for a home safe and they were extremely knowledgable and well-versed in the different kinds, the specifications and benefits from the manufacturers. They didn't try to hard-sell any product and they even offered to deliver the safe because of it's weight. Rich and his son were flexible and even delivered it the day of purchase. They're great to deal with so if you're looking for advice, service and quality products, this is the place to shop!!

They first made it appear the price was $35-$55, then after arrival they were supposed to tell me the actual price and they didn't. (I should have asked). The locksmith proceeded to work and then at the end of the job he wanted me to pay $164. After must resistance he reduced the price to $135. I paid and I shouldn't have. I've had the same job done at another location for less than $60. Not an honestly run business. Update after owner response: what they're saying is completely not true true at all. Do business with them at your own risk.
Eric O.
****2/1 follow up - this guys response makes it even more appropriate to leave the review as is. I gave him 2 stars, not one. He's been pestering me by email for weeks telling me why I'm wrong for why he didn't respond and to remove the review. It's not the initial mistake, it's how you respond. My review speaks for itself. His reactions and response are indicative of how he runs a business. Now it's a one star. I emailed and called on a Sunday for an emergency locksmith. I received a fairly quick email reply, but after I responded requesting service, there was no response. I then attempted to call and leave a message, but never got a call back. I realize Sunday's are not ideal, but a call back stating they have no availability would have been nice (since they advertise emergency service. Found another locksmith who I will now be doing business with moving forward.
Sally A.
Supreme Locksmith is competitively priced. I value their service times, and their work is great. No issues with the quality. I had a keyless remote programmed and the emergency key cut within hours (just be sure to have an appointment). I would recommend Supreme Locksmith to anyone wanting to have another automotive key for there vehicle.
Wayne W.
Friendly service came right to my front door to provide and program a remote for a 2015 Toyota Highlander. They could also duplicate the small key that inserts into the remote. I used Yelp to contact 10 locksmiths. Either they could not provide the service or they were more expensive. Getting the job done at the Toyota dealer would have been more than double the cost!
Brendan P.
Great job came to my house at the price they quoted. New key for the car. No problems.
Lucho V.
No need for a lengthy review. David was on time, very courteous, gave me an accurate estimate over the phone, was done within the time frame promised and was extremely professional and nice. If I could give this guy 10 stars, I would!
Gabbie C.
Very helpful answered in minutes and was able to unlock car. Pricey but it was very last minute and was the only locksmith that answered who was in Fremont area.
Cookie C.
No need for a long written review. Short and simple: these guys are awesome. They really help customers out during emergency situations. Friendly and reliable, great customer service. Our new go-to locksmith.
Bently G.
Good quick service. Bar came by the house and provide a key fob, cutting, and programming for my wife's Honda CR-V. Thanks guys
Lester L.
Needed fob that I got on the internet to be programmed. Found a locksmith on the internet that wanted big $$$$ to come to my place. Got appt via Yelp at Supreme location in Newark between 3:30 and 4pm. Was there a little before 4pm, but missed a phone call saying he had to leave for an emergency call. Locksmith returned after 4pm, programmed my fob and I was out of there by 4:36pm. Good job.
John Anthony M.
Needed a key replacement for an old Volkswagen which broke from the remote control. I've previously contacted various other locksmiths services which, for some reason, put me off to the side and never really have gotten back to me. Enter Supreme Locksmith. Initially opted for a full key replacement with re-programming but Bar (the technician who was helping me at the time) suggested a simple repair of the mechanical key, which allowed me to save quite a bit. Key looks and functions like brand new and I'm very pleased with the work. Service was very prompt and was done rather quickly. I would strongly recommend this service to my friends and family, or literally anyone living in the Bay Area for that matter.
Rao L.
Tech came at the appointment time, but there's some miscommunication between the the yelp coordinator and him about the yelp discount...
Mel A.
Great, professional service. I was given a detailed time frame as to when service will be received which I found quite convenient. Staff was friendly and professional.
Odie L.
I called in advance for appointment to duplicate my son's Honda Civic Key. I met Bart at his place in Newark. He told me the keys my son bought on-line will not work. He offered swap the keys for me without additional charges. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. I am happy and will come back again when I need my keys done.
Madeliene V.
My Honda Accord key broke so I called a few places and went to orchard's for quotes and this place was the best quote since they were negotiable. I called the office and the guy working there said he'll have tech call me back. Ben (tech) called me back within 10 minutes later and said he can stop by my house in about 20 minutes to look at my car and give me a quote before he started. He was very straight forward and negotiable to work with my budget. Thank you Ben! You have a customer for life!
C R.
Scheduled a 4pm appt to get auto key made. Gave hime my address and cell phone number. 4 o'clock comes and goes. No phone call to tell me they are running late. 5pm comes and I call and leave a message reminding them about our 4pm appt. and I leave my contact info again. 6 o'clock now and still no show and no call. Lousy customer service and undependable. Update to owner response: If it was your birthday then you shouldn't have scheduled an appt. Also my wife did not call you. Don't appreciate the lie about my wife to cover your inability to keep a simple appt or just to call me and cancel it yourself. Don't put the blame on me. Wow, horrible. Now you're liar too. Shameful.
Nely M.
Long story short - Got locked out of our house, called several places at 8pm Sunday - Eli with Supreme was out within 10-15m! My husband was able to get us in right when they got here but nonetheless appreciated them showing up quick and making extra copies of our key!! Thank you so much for quick and courteous service! Will save your info in my contacts!!
Joseph N.
I called in advance for appointment to duplicate my Honda Pilot car key and Bar was able to schedule the same day and meet me within less than 30 minute at his store in Newark Ca. He was so professional in opening the old key and remove the chip inside and install it on the new key. The whole process takes less than 15 minute. His price is very reasonable and was able to match price from other store. I will definitely come back again when I need my keys done.
Larry C.
What a great company. I lost my keys to a rental and they had new key programmed with 1 hour. They were on time and very helpful. I highly recommend Supreme Locksmith. Thanks
Justin P.
To put it simply - I was blown away with the service. Communication was top notch. Takes payments via Square. On site service which is very convenient. I had a 2001 VW Passat that needed new keys. Supreme Locksmith was the ONLY game in town that would even attempt it, and they delivered! They came and did the service right in my driveway. The man on the job, Bar, was beyond nice and happy to help. Professional without being impersonal. He didn't care that I bought the blank keys elsewhere. He was FAR less expensive than taking the car and keys to the dealer. As long as Supreme Locksmith is still open for business and I am local, they will always be my first and only call for locksmith services.
Isaac P.
bar showed up at 2 am last night and got me into my toyota quickly and he gave me he price up front Thanks again bar!
Zvanha M.
I highly recommend this locksmith company i was stupid enough to lose my keys to my 2014 mitsubishi outlander i called this guys and they came very fast was very honest and great customer service.thank you supreme locksmith.

Called me back immediately. was very up front and easy. Sounds like a good guy.

I ended up locked out of my house in the rain, luckily I had my phone. I found A to Z through Google and happy I did. Very easy to deal with and professional. Comminucted via text his eta and delay in his arrival. He communicated clearly what he was going to do and what my options and prices were up front. Highly recommend!
Merna L.
Communication was great. He cut and programmed three keys for my car. I'm sure I could get the service done anywhere but the communication and flexibility was VERY appreciated since this was done on short notice.

Aziz is a professional at what he does. I was having an issue with an old tenant I had to evict and I had to get the locks at my rental property changed. My friend recommended A to Z Locksmith. I called and Aziz responded with urgency and changed my locks quickly. He even recommended a special key to avoid having a tenant duplicate my keys in the future. Super fast and helpful. Thanks Aziz!
John W.
Reasonable price. The locksmith came out within hours of contacting him. Curious and friendly. I will be a returning customer.
Siyi Z.
I'd like to thank A to Z Locksmith to help me open the door and change the locks. He's very responsible and my locks are old so he takes a lot of time to clean and fix it. Thank you for all the work and I really appreciate your help!

My mom locked herself out of her condo and called me in a panic. So I randomly did a Google search for locksmiths in Hayward. I selected A-Z Locksmiths and called at 6:16pm. I explained the situation: my elderly parents were locked out of their home. He explained he would be there in 45 mins. because he was on his way to another job. I further explained that my dad had a health condition so he asked me to text him the addy to see what he could do. Next thing I knew, he texted that he would be there in 4 minutes! He communicated with me every step of the way since my parents spoke limited English. In the end, he was there and finished by 6:35pm!!!! I could not have asked for a better experience, especially since I couldn't personally be there to help my parents. A-Z has world class customer service and I will definitely do business with them again.
Jose P.
CUSTOMERS BEWARE! NO STARS I had to put a star but To make things short, a Fresno native going to school & happen to have my keys stolen. My secretary called for his services & as he showed up gave me an ABSURD PRICE for a key on a 90' s pick up truck though he said it'd be cheaper since it's not a 21st century automobile. he did some spray & twitching on the lock of my truck & thereafter for the next 45 minutes he was on his phone calling and texting other individuals. Time is a very valuable thing for a service & efficiency is key but he was very stagnant & the vibe I got this TIME WASTING WAS INTENTIONAL. While I confronted him he began to be very belligerent and DISRESPECTFUL TOWARDS ME. He THREATENING TO CALL THE POLICE & HIS LAWYER ON ME the basis I needed to pay for his services even though there was no binding contract. Being an adult & after deescalating the situation I paid for a key that he tried to RIP ME OFF BY TWICE THE QUOTE HE GAVE MY SECRETARY.
Sam H.
Exceptional courteous and prompt service. Commercial grade products at a reasonable price. doesn't steer you into mickey-mouse brands and stands behind his work. Highly recommend from basic things like key copies to large multi-unit office building locks.
Eric S.
Its a regular store. I Did not check the place much but its decent. I had my key battery replace. He did it in lee than 5 mins. He obviously needs more practice opening the key without damaging it. But the service was quick. Can't complain.
alyssa c.
Such a WONDERFUL experience with Aziz considering there's nothing too great about getting your keys stolen at the gym. Reached out to Aziz for a quote for my Mazda3 because I didn't have any spare. I liked the fact that we were able to communicate over the phone and through text, and in general I just got good vibes from him before even meeting him. My car was being difficult and I'm extremely pleased with his dedication to troubleshoot the problem by trying out various steps that even included him having to jumpstart my car to get the battery to a certain voltage. Although that didn't work, he was still able to find the solution in the end. His customer service is so great, I highly recommend his locksmith business to ANYONE that has automotive lock issues, or lock issues in general for that matter. There's a reason behind all these 5 stars reviews, which is exactly how I found him. Thank you so much Aziz!
Minesh P.
Friendly service and overall quick response time over text. Works quick and has fair prices. I would recommend!
Jade D.
He's got a busy schedule, but when he finally has time to help you. He'll get the job done! Thanks for the great service!
jay f.
Great service always around when you need him we had a problem with a lock that was beaten up by a bunch of drunks as we have a pizza place open until 3am. I gave atoz a call and he showed up within 30 min and fixed the lock!! Amazing work great attitude I give them an A+
Kevin C.
Aziz is very knowledgeable with my type of car. It has a special code that's pretty difficult to code. I was able to get in to my car and drive off within 20 min! Thanks :)
Evan K.
Recently moved into a new development in Hayward. Made a dumb mistake of "locking" the inside of my garage and not bringing my keys out. As a result, my transponder wouldn't open the garage when I returned and I was locked out. Initially called another company that subcontracted their services out. Fortunately, my fiancée looked on yelp and concurrently called Aziz. During the time we were waiting for the other party, Aziz still helped us through the process. He told my fiancée to take a picture of our door lock so that he could give us a price estimate. He also told us strategies on what we could do if we didn't like the quote that we were given from the other party. He essentially "coached" us throughout the process. Eventually, I decided to cancel the other party (especially since they were taking forever and refused to give me a price quote). Aziz drove from the peninsula to East Bay to help us out at 9pm on a Sunday. Our lock is a smart-key and he was able to get us the right part and cleanly replaced our door lock to its original specification in less than 20 minutes. Service was great, prices were transparent prior to him arriving, and he knows his stuff. Highly recommend him if you have any lock issues.
Luis Velez
Great Locksmith work. Excellent service, reliable and fast. Recommend it to everyone out there.
Tuan N.
On a super hot day in Hayward our heatwave my dad had locked his keys inside the car while picking my nieces from elementary school, we needed someone quick for they had to be places. I called A to Z locksmith and the employee aziz was to arrive very quickly being that we needed someone right away and was able to perform his duty efficiently. Very pleased due to his performance and speed.
Ben D.
Aziz is all about customer service. When I informed him of my problem (the case for keys to a 2002 vehicle started crumbling), he went out of his way to realize this was an urgent issue, and we scheduled a meeting in Hayward. He quickly took on the job, answered any questions I had about the process and timing to completion, and then tested everything out himself on every section of the car to ensure that the key would work. He's definitely earned my business to solve future locksmith problems.
Mustafa M.
Very professional service. Aziz came by and got the job done in a fast and efficient manner. The price was more than reasonable over all had a great experience.
Marj R.
There was an issue with his work that required follow up. I tried to follow up with him 3-4 times. He said twice that he would come back to fix it, but never did. Bad character = bad business!
Thien Trieu
I had a front door lock could not turn and needed to re-key other doors. I called A to Z locksmith at noon but the voice message was full, tried second time and could not contact but after 5:00PM A to Z smith returned my call and scheduled next day service (Saturday). A to Z smith technician came to my house on Saturday and inspected then gave me a quote which compared with other smith vendors in Hayward was similar or little less expensive. However, I like A to Z smith because their services: Honest, reliable, on time and quick service. He explains what was wrong with the lock and how he would fix it then showed you while he fixed it. He is very nice and I will call A to Z smith again if I need a service in the future.
Aaron L.
Aziz is an awesome professional locksmith! I lost the keys to my car, explained to aziz that I needed a key that day so I would be able to make it to work the next morning. He explained all my options very well and help me get the best possible price. He was very accommodating, came out to my house later that day and programmed a key for my car in just a few minutes. He even took a few minutes to fix my front door deadbolt which had a broken key stuck in it. Which he also took care of in a matter of minutes. Aziz was a pleasure to work with, especially after calling 4 other locksmiths in my area that gave me the run around or were asking way too much on price. Aziz was up front, honest and helped me save a lot of money. I would highly recommend his services!

Once again, great service from the folks at Rex. They re-keyed several deadbolt cylinders for me, including one that I tried to do myself that ended up with a jammed deadbolt. Super fast, super reasonable and very friendly.
I. E. C.
Now my antique front door lock is fixed! Thank you REX tech from El Cerrito
Julia I.
Brian: Thank you for your response. I appreciate your taking the time to address my concern, which confirmed for me that the attitude displayed by the woman I spoke with was not representative of your business. The car key is history, but I will keep you in mind in the future.
Megha T.
Super easy and quick place to get your keys copied. Came here on a Tuesday afternoon and got two copies of my two house keys for $12 in total. The employee at the counter was helpful and friendly, letting me know that I didn't even need to take the keys off my key ring. He took 2 min max to copy both keys and I was soon out the door! They give you your keys on a key ring, which is convenient. Rex also sells all sorts of door locks, combination locks, keychains, bottle opener key rings, etc. Heads up, they have a sign that says that if your key says "DO NOT DUPLICATE" and you're trying to get it copied, they aren't able to do so unless you bring a note of authorization on official letterhead.
Max N.
Unfriendly and unhelpful. Unable to copy my Subaru key because it wasn't factory (?) and did not explain this over the phone accurately.

Real pros. I needed two weird 1992 Mercedes keys and they laser-cut them! with no problem. Slightly slow service, but they were busy with 5 customers. Prices are reasonable and all the duplicates I got worked perfectly.
Mikey P.
I had a couple of keys cut elsewhere and they didn't work at all in our house's original 1912 front door lock. Went to Rex and they immediately identified the vintage key blank needed and I came home with three keys that work better in the lock than my originals. I won't be going anywhere else from now on.
Olivia C.
Excellent service! Called this morning to see if they were open since it's the day after Christmas and received a quote on the spot! Went in and was immediately helped. Was in and out of the store within 5-7 minutes. I was worried they wouldn't be able to help me since my key is a special security key but they had it in stock thankfully! The employees were all smiles and it was such a positive experience. Thank you Rex Key & Security! You will definitely be my future go to locksmith!
Cleo B.
Quick and efficient, but communication could've been better. I didn't realize that placing the order by phone and describing in detail the locks would still require someone to come out first, before going and buying the necessary hardware. That would've been good to know and I wouldn't have bothered describing everything in great detail. We were charged for the correct amount of locks, but realized afterwards that there was one that was not done. Not charged for it, but would've been happy to have it done.
King M.
Don't you just love it when you go into a business for services that were quoted by someone else at nearly ten times the amount, and you think to yourself.... "This can't be possible, if those other guys were trying to charge me ten times as much, how can this business do it for less?" I just want to say to Tim thank you very much for your honesty assistance and overall excellent customer service. I'm not sure if he was already off for the day, but stuck around to cut some keys for me, because he took off right after finishing the job and walking me through the programing steps for my car. Keys worked perfectly and I'll definitely share the word to those who are looking to get similar services done.
Carolynn N.
Great shop! My car key broke in the ignition, and within 10 minutes of arriving I had a brand new key. I called/went to 4 other shops looking for a fix, but this store was the only one to help me. Price was very reasonable. Customer service was excellent! I was very impressed. I'll be coming back to shop their wife selection of lock related products and accessories. I saw a bunch of things I've been looking for but have been unable to find in stores. Thank you for the great service!
Raul Singh Thakuri
Best price on town and fast service. Called multiple places for carkey cut quotes and some said $110, some said $85 but he gave me the best price here only for $20!
Matt P.
Liars. I tried to buy blanks and they told me it was illegal for them to sell me blanks if I wasn't a locksmith. This is completely untrue and the only reason I can imagine they would tell me this is to charge me more to do the cuts. If they'd said it was simply a store policy to not sell blanks I wouldn't be upset, but to lie and say it has something to do with legality is just BS. I tried to support a local business but I guess I'll just go to Home Depot or Amazon.
Michelle O.
Excellent service by Jeffrey! Called about my son's lost car key and with the VIN, had a new one same day inexpensively! He was $350 cheaper than another Berkeley locksmith. Nice and professional, highly recommend.
Racquel L.
Staff are always attentive and friendly. They will help right away. They usually get busy so I tried to go here earlier. Hope it stays the same and looking forward to do more business with you all.

I got a Honda Fit car key cut and programmed for about $125. Overall pleasant experience, efficient service, and fair price. Tim helped me with a quote and other questions over the phone. He was extremely patient and provided very helpful answers to all my questions, even after I called multiple times with new things to ask. Geoff provided excellent customer service at the shop and was able to complete the job in about 20 minutes. The suggested time to go is Mon - Thu before 3 pm. You need to bring your car and the working key there to program the new key. They have gated parking behind the building. If you have lost all the car keys, they will come to your car (for an additional charge) to cut and program a new one. They recommend buying the car key from them or the dealer because the wrong key could damage the car. But I bought one online and luckily everything went ok.

The guys in this shop are great. But they need to get someone else to answer the phone. I had a time-sensitive problem with a key that broke off in my car. (AAA would only tow the car.) The guy let me go through hoops explaining the situation and then said in a clipped voice: We won't do that today. You're welcome to bring it in tomorrow at 8:30. Clueless. No people-smarts. But also a real tinge of nastiness.

I needed copies of a key which turned out to not be as straight forward as I thought it was going to be, but Ryan really helped me out! I had tried to go to a local hardware store twice prior to get a copies made, but the keys wouldn't work and so they sent me to Rex Key and Security. I got two copies from here, but they didn't work either! I brought the keys back to Ryan and he was able to figure out that my original key was cut a little weird. He cut me three ever so slightly different copies to try out (with grooves matching my original, but cut three different ways), and I was able to find the one that worked! I'll be going back here tomorrow to get another copy made, and for my future key and lock needs! The guys at this shop are super helpful and friendly, and I would really and honestly recommend this place!
Heres J.
GREAT SERVICE, FAST I had a key duplicated at Rex a number of years ago and so when I needed a new car key, I went back, and the young man who helped me could not have been more polite or helpful. It was a pretty basic transaction -- $6 duplicate key -- but the whole experience was as trouble free as I can imagine. I was in and out of there in about five minutes; the key works perfectly; and I'm a happy camper .. er, driver!

I take my reviews on Yelp very seriously. It is hard to find people of quality you can trust to come into your home and work on your locks. I recommend them without hesitation. Tim the manager and Conan the locksmith, who came to my home, get my VOTE! They are honest, kind and competent. Conan cares deeply about the quality of work he performs. His father was a locksmith and he has a high regard for the trade. Thanks again, Conan and Tim.

Excellent service with a dash of humor. I've been losing keys and locking myself out for years now!! And every time I do, I come to Rex Key to get a quick copy without breaking the bank. The service here is unbeatable -- fast, efficient, inexpensive, and they've got jokes! Gotta admire the humor and pick-me-up when you're probably visiting because you've locked yourself out for the 3rd time this month. Thanks Rex!!
Tiffany H.
I love this place! Best place to get your keys copied! The service is super quick and friendly, and you'll get what you need in a jiffy! I'm not sure how competitive the prices are, since the price depends on the type of key you're copying, but it's not too expensive. Both times I've been here, I was in and out within five minutes and got 2-3 keys copied!!
Dan and Casey provided excellent product knowledge, craftsmanship, and customer service !

Extremely unprofessional. I am a new business in the area and was locking for someone to come install new door locks at my shop. Called and made an appt with someone at Galaxy Locksmith for 2pm the next day. Day of the appt texted to see if they were on their way since it was after 2pm and no one showed up, no one replied to my text either. Called and left voicemail at about 2:15pm. Waited until close to 2:45pm and no one ever showed up or returned my call or text, although my text showed delivered and read. DO NOT use this company unless you want your time wasted. Its a shame, as a local business owner I would think they would be more professional. I would have understood and appreciated a text or call that they weren't going to be able to make it. Definitely moved my schedule around to accommodate meeting them there at 2pm. What a waste of time!

Edmundo is a long time locksmith. I've worked with him many times over the years. He's very good at what he does, professional, prompt, & fair priced. I recommend Galaxy to all people with locksmith needs.
Rodel P.
Ed is a very experience locksmith, a guy who does a terrific job. He managed to fix our ford car ignition issue and also gave us a 3 month warranty. He promptly came as soon as we called and quickly fix the problem. We highly recommend him!!!
Alayna S.
- Never needed a locksmith before so seeing all his great reviews on Yelp.. I gave him a call. - Called @ 4 & talked to Ed. He let me know he'd get to my house around 6pm & told me the pricing. I wasn't in a hurry so the time worked for me. - He was very professional when he came. He brought a under-study & they both explained to me what they were doing.

fast service, great prices! Will call from now on for anything i need a locksmith for.

$1,300 to rekey 4 doors. Steve said it took him almost 5 hours, which is impossible. It should take no more than an hour to do this work. Even at that price, he didn't ask what color locks we wanted and installed a hodgepodge of colors. The door in the bedroom ended up with an illegal lock (without a handle). Tried calling him to discuss the pricing and the poor quality, but he went radio silent.

Steve is amazing! I called on a Saturday afternoon needing assistance ASAP. Steve was kind enough to come within 15 minutes even though he had previous plans. He cares about his customers and loves what he does. My lock was a bit unique and Steve was determined to find a solution and did. He is a wealth of knowledge and did the job with an up beat attitude the entire time. If you have lock issues you need Steve!
Heather Ku
Helped me get into my rental unit quickly. On time and very courteous!

Our housekeeper accidentally locked a door to a room where our dogs sleep. Steven unlocked the door and installed a new lock, which was not necessary. The bill was $300. I sent him an email questioning this unnecessary service a week ago to which he never responded. I feel somewhat taken advantage of.

So I can't say enough positive comments about A1 Locksmiths. Called on Sunday because the front door handle broke. We could not use the door! I texted him pictures of the handle and he said he had the same one in stock. So on Monday the owner of A1 Locksmith came and fixed the handle. We now can feel secure leaving our house. He was on time and had to make a trip back to get another part. Felt he charged a reasonable price and did a very good job. The door closes much better and the handle feels very secure.

He helped me to get my key that I locked inside my car . He did a good job very fast and efficiently. 謝謝 Steven !
Will G.
I really don't recommend this terrible service to anyone. Forgot the key inside my house and called this service for help. But he didn't help anything, either opening the front door or the back door. Highly doubt his professional skills. Even worse, he charged me $120 for just coming here! Tried to argue with him reasonably, but he didn't listen at all. I had no way, but paid to let him leave. I usually don't leave bad reviews. But he really made me feel upset.
Kalendra Bell
Steve was great. He arrived in the allotted time that he said he would and quickly had the lock unlocked. His manner was very calm and professional which I appreciated. Plus, the lock looks and works just like it was never "picked." I have no concerns over the integrity of the lock and feel safe. I would call Steve again should I ever need locksmith service in the future.
Masami Y.
Don't call this place & ask Steve to replace your keys. He'll rip you off. I trusted the reputation here & saying all good about him. I called him on Friday & set appointment on Monday 7pm since service hours is till 9pm. He called on Monday 7pm said that he'll charge me overtime if I insist him to do that time. So I rearrange to next day, around 11:30am. But he showed up 2:30pm, without any apologies. He did jobs & had my credit card #. Next day, invoice & charged notice came. He charged $175 for rekeyed x 5, $16 for copies x4, $150 for one hour labor. On top of that, he charged me $80 for " Service call". What is service call??? Then add up to $421 plus sales tax $40. Total $461. I emailed & called him for inquiries without response. People shouldn't treat others in this way. Be careful with this guy.

Steve at A1 locksmith provided us with good prompt service the morning the lock on our Store Front door decided to stop working... Thank you Steve...
Carb Q.
Steve was the best locksmith I have had to call by far, and because of my job I've had to call many. He got to the house I manage quickly and opened 3 closet doors so fast it amazed me! I've had other locksmiths take 45 minutes just to open one door.
Charlotte C.
Thanks goodness for A1 Locksmith! They were open on Sunday when others weren't and they arrived within the hour to help unlock our front door. Our door is also quite tricky as the lock is very old, but Steve still managed to get us in without damaging/drilling the lock. Thanks for the great work :)
Nicole B.
Steve has helped me probably too many times to count. A Yelp review is long overdue for him. When I was 18, locked my keys in my car, and had to be in class within an hour, Steve came to my rescue, and he had everything with his since he has a mobile van too. He helped me re-key my house after a break in, and even helped re-mount the doorbell that had been knocked out of the wall. Two thumbs up! Only locksmith in the bay you need to know.
Andy C.
We have an office in Burlingame and one of our doors was accidentally locked by the janitors during the night. Guess what? There was no key available and we couldn't help our customers! I called and spoke with Steve, the owner of A-1 and after explaining our predicament he was kind enough to prioritize us first and come right out. Steve had the door open in literally less than three minutes. No damage to the door, no need to replace the lock. Of course he used tools that I would have no access to and frankly would not have even known existed! I can't thank him enough for prioritizing our situation first, he even accepts payments by Square with was very convenient for our business needs. Just the fact that Steve is savvy enough to squeeze in an easy job before moving on to set appointments earned three stars in my book. His demeanor and kind attitude earned him the other two. Definitely recommend.
Alexandra D.
Review is on the following: customer service, speed of service, price of service, overall experience Customer Service: I called to request pricing, but did not leave a message after a few rings. I received a call back within 2 minutes asking if I had any questions... that has never happened! Furthermore, Steve (owner) drove to me.. I did not know he could do that, but he does, and he was able to waive the fee as it was on his way.. that was extremely generous of him! Speed of Service: Upon speaking with Steve, he was able to come by the office, check out the keys needing to be copied and provide an estimate all WITHIN 10 minutes.. all of this; I did not have to leave the office building! Price of Service: Fair pricing for high-security key replacement Experience: GREAT! If I EVER need keys, I am going here!
Tihani C.
Got locked out of my car after class and he came over pretty quickly. We spent the first 5 or so min trying to get into the passenger door when I realized that the only door with an electric lock (was trying to open the window switch) was the drivers side haha... He was pretty chill about it.
Peter M.
Steve responded immediately to our being locked out. He replaced the lock cylinder matched it to the other door lock and saved us a heap of trouble. Highly recommended.
Lerry J.
I just bought a house and asked Steve with A-1 Locksmith to make a house call to change out all the locks. Steve was perfectly punctual, arriving at our designated time. We reviewed my needs. He fulfilled them exactly as requested. He also assisted in repairing some damage to one of my doors. Anytime someone comes out to make a housecall for any service, you expect to pay a premium. The service was not cheap, but it was more than worth it. Steve decided to take things to the next level. While he was there, without me asking, he helped out by helping reset the dead garage door and also helped do some basic rewiring of some poorly laid cable from the previous owner. All in all, a perfect experience. I will be using Steve for any of my future locksmith needs. And maybe even garage door needs!
Elizabeth E.
I locked myself out of my house and A-1 provided speedy, helpful service on a Saturday morning! Price was comparable to other local locksmiths.
Kalena M.
A1 Locksmith provided excellent service when I needed my house's locks to be changed and new keys made for my car. After calling around to several locksmiths I found Steve's estimate to be the lowest. I hired him for the job, he came out in the time frame expected and was able to complete the job in less time than estimated. He even threw in a spare set of keys for me.
James D.
A-1 Locksmith in Burlingame charged me $200 to change the lock on my front door. The service was fine but their rates are 2x what you can get elsewhere. I complained to the owner and after some haggling he agreed to partially reduce the service fee. The refund check was promised but never mailed - even after repeated attempts by me to get in touch with them again.
Maribel S.
I locked myself out of my apartment on a Saturday at 11am, thankfully I had my smartphone with me so I could google for a locksmith. The first hit on Google for "Locksmith Burlingame" is A 1-Locksmith, so naturally I called them. I asked for a price and they said $150!! Do note, I have never used a locksmith before so I have no idea how much unlocking an apartment door should cost. I don't know if it was because it was a Saturday, but surely $150 is wayyyy too much to pay. I did not use their services (actually got it done for $79 with a diff company), and I do not intend to in the future for the outrageous prices they are charging.

I called for my friend locked out side his house in ardenwood boulevard area . He had a special lock installed and Reliance locksmith was professional and came fast and help get him back inside his home within 15 minutes of us calling. I saved their phone number for future locksmith and key jobs because they very nice and the guy who answered the phone was very polite and good customer service. The locksmith to go in bay area California is Reliance Locksmith.

My garage door stopped working at 2 am when arrived home. Looked for locksmith on Google and found Reliance Locksmith. They came within 15 minutes of my call and open my house door. All the other places were closed and I am very happy that I called Reliance Locksmith who came to help me. Thank you and I recommend their service.
Maddy Burciaga
Open a lock filing cabinet and made us 2 keys!! Cheap price and fast service. Recommended totally!

The rainy night of a cold winter dark in the drive way of a car wash right off the 101 free way broke my car keys into two pieces and called my husband for a back up key but to my surprise found out that we had bought the car with a only one set of a key. My husband called around and got me the Reliance Locksmith who came to my rescue and cut and programmed me two new car keys and I was back on my way home all done within an hour and I am convinced that the locksmiths of Reliance locksmith bay area know their stuff and customer friendly.

We used reliance locksmith services 3 months ago in San Jose when I got locked out of my car late at night and they came pretty quick to get me back into my car. Professional car locksmith in sanjose and recommend their locksmith.

Locked out of our home after a car burglary in Florida.....set up with a neighbor to have Reliance come out and open our front door. Told me on the phone the charge would be $125. Came out and charged $165 as our door "was difficult". Never mentioned a price range to me on the phone. Second problem.....he destroyed our lock opening our door...had to drill it out. Then told our neighbor that for $125 he could replace it. Luckily the neighbor declined. Third problem.....did not clean up...left metal drillings all over the front door step. Never again!
Told me they were sending somone out with an eta of 45 minutes. Call back to them after an hour and their guy claimed they didnt see the car and asked around for it and said they couldn't reach my cell. I don't care if you have a guy that doesn't want to drive a long way out, just say you can't or give me a headsup instead of lying.
Jon A.
Locked the keys to our place. Made a call and they said 20 minutes but arrived 45 minutes later. Got us back into our place within minutes of their arrival for $125.
Ito P.
Set up an appointment for a Saturday at his comfort. I was ok for Thursday, Friday and or Saturday. Never showed up. Never called to excuse himself. Total waste of time. Would not recommend them.
Whitney Z.
I was in Fremont meeting friends for dinner and locked my keys in my car while getting gas. I was stressed trying to figure out how to retrieve my keys quickly to get to dinner on time. Last time I used a locksmith they took forever and charged way too much, so I was really happy when I called AAA+ locksmith and Aaron came quickly to help. Aaron was very efficient and professional and worked quickly so I was not too late to meet my friends.
Locked the keys in the trunk of a 350z and couldn't find the spare... Really hard to get to the door lock because of the position of it. He arrived in less than 30 mins and got the door open within a few minutes.... Excellent timing so the Wifey could get to work and I could pick up the kid. THANKS!!!!
Omar J.
Aaron did really a great job. He is very professional and efficient. It took him just 5 minutes, literally 5 minutes to help me out get my keys from car while I was locked out. I really recommend AAA+ Locksmith. Great work and fair price!!!
Keith A.
Does not show up for "appointments". Rescheduled, did not show up a second time. You're FIRED! Doesn't call customer. Doesn't seem to give a crap. Would give zero stars if possible, since no one ever showed up. Hired someone else. Don't waste your time with fake yelp rated businesses like this one.
Sophia G.
I was at the Fremont Hub, Thanksgiving Eve around 8pm..and my smart self locked the keys in the car, left them on the drivers seat and closed the doors. This was the second day of me having the car. Anyways I called a few places got a whole bunch of different prices and time to get to me quotes . One guy even came out quoted $54 when he got there and after writing a receipt (before he did the work) told me it would be $109. That price would have been fine if that was the agreed amount before he came and tried to scam me! I went to yelp and found this company. They were there in 10 mins. They charged $70, i gave them $80. Thanks again for being a reliable and honest company!
Pradnesh K.
I got locked out on Saturday at 7. Aaron came to my rescue immediately. It was an awesome service and costed only $85. My lock is really tough to break and Aaron spent a lot of time and energy on it. I really thank him for his effort.
Phoebe M.
I had accidentally left my key in our trunk...womp womp. Aaron was our locksmith, and he came out quickly on a Sunday (Easter Sunday nonetheless), and was able to open my trunk successfully with no damage and retrieved my keys! Their prices are awesome too! I definitely know who to call if this happens again...but let's hope it doesn't!
K S.
Got locked out of my place around 7 pm. They were there within 20-25 mins like they said. He was able to unlock the door within 5 mins. I've never experienced being locked out of my place, but it sure was an expensive lesson... $75 later. I took off only 1 star b/c I didn't have my updated address on my ID and he still unlocked the door for me saying he'd need to see mail or something to prove it was my place. However, when he opened the door, he never looked at the mail... I appreciate him trusting me, but how was he sure it was my place?
Michelle T.
I locked myself out of my place on a Wednesday night at 8pm. After searching the internet, I found AAA+ Locksmith provided after hours service. I called them and they said they could have some out at my place in 20 minutes. Aaron arrived 20 minutes later as promised. The first thing he did was ask for ID to verify I lived at my place. 5 minutes later he had my door unlocked. He provided helpful suggestions for better locks for my door. Aaron was very professional and efficient. I would recommend them to anyone that's in a bind, locked out of their place or car.
Adi A.
Got locked out of our house right after a long vacation we were jetlagged/exhausted/frustrated. The service we received from AAA+ was truly AAA rated, without a hefty price tag. The locksmith was professional, showed up on time (under 15 mins) and got us in our house even though it was not easy :-)
Pranav B.
Great service. Got locked out in the night, came right away and we were inside the house in 5 minutes! Amazing rates. Everywhere we called they were charging $75+! Recommended to all.

Great place, the new owners have done a fantastic job. The bands they have karaoke night, trivia night, etc are all fun events. The new(ish) bartender Chantal is phenomenal! Always makes you feel like her best friend. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Locked my keys in my bedroom. Called Robert after 6 pm and he was at my house in 20 minutes. He also quoted me a flat fee and was very reasonable. I called another place a few minutes prior and they quoted me $29 to come out and the tech would decide what you owe in addition to that service call fee. Seemed like they were going to rip me off. Robert was straight up with his prices and honest. Took 10 minutes to pick my extremely hard lock and left no damage. Highly recommend him!
Erin G.
They always do a great job for our business! Super responsive, fast and professional same day service! I highly recommend them.
Cindy K.
Robert Bradley was AMAZING!! He was the ONLY Locksmith who could Guarantee that he would have success in picking this Credenza skeleton key pad!! He wouldn't even charge us if he wasn't successful!!! We Highly recommend Locksmith Central !!
Krystal P.
Robert Bradley came out same day after calling and went out of his way to get materials instead so we didn't have to wait a couple days. Very nice guy and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended them!
Keith P.
Robert Bradley that owns and operates locksmith Central gets a negative 1 star to match his ethics. He quoted my wife $250. to make a key for our Tacoma. This job will take a competent locksmith approx. 1/2 hour. It took this guy 2-1/2 hours and he added another $250. to the original quote that was not agreed to. We took him to court and got a judgment against him for $250. and court costs. It appears that he has a history of poor reviews for taking advantage of women. He is under investigation with several agencies at this time for his unprofessional and unethical business practices. Its not about the money people its about the ethics and principal.
D W.
Way over priced! I should have done more research before calling this company. I needed a key made for my Honda. Turns out I would have saved a lot of money had I just gone to the dealer and had them make a key for me, plus it would have been a fob key compared to the standardized key I got from this company. Also, the entire process from call to finish took over 8 hours. When I called the dealership not only were their prices better but the process wouldn't have taken more than an hour and a half.
Irma K.
The only reason I gave two stars is because it didn't take him long to get to my house but that was because he happened to be in the area. He still charged me an additional $75 because it was a Sunday, next to the $65 for the service, only to unlock a main door. Outrageous pricing! It was my own fault to not research enough before I called them. I was in a hurry to get it done, but who doesn't want to get back into their own house as soon as possible. I found (after the fact) a much cheaper company but oh well... a lesson learned.
Chris F.
I called Locksmith Central about a week and a half ago to change out the locks on a rental property in Rocklin. They were responsive and very polite. I had to change the date from one day to the next as the tenant was not going to be able to move out on the original date scheduled. Not problem, the change was made. The technician (sorry I can't remember his name and business cards are general with no name which I found strange) was running a little late and gave me a call to advise. Traffic is crazy sometimes in the Sacramento area, that's how it is. He showed up in a very tricked out portable locksmith shop....in a Toyota Prius. I really liked how it was customized for the business. He changed 4 locks in 3 doors in about an hour and gave me 6 keys The charge was $249 which I wasn't sure was a reasonable price or not. I live in SF, everything is crazy expensive but thought for about an hours work seemed a bit on the high side for Sacramento. All in all, the service was very positive. The technician was very polite and did a good job. One small comment with the job is that there was lubricant left on the door handles and keys. For a five, details like this should be taken care of. Wipe things down once installed.

Rob Bradly had personally come to my house in a big emergency. It was Nears Years Eve and I had miss placed my car keys. I had a big engagement with the Mayor and his wife and our car was inoperable. Rob saved the evening by unlocking the car and making a new SMART key on the spot. God bless you Rob. He is amazing and I recommend him with the highest honors. I am a good friend of Mayer Johnson and a Representative of the City of Sacramento.
Kyle C.
I had Robert make a key for me today and he was able to get it working on the first try. The process didn't take long at all, and he provided me with a spare metal key incase anything happened to my main key in the future. Most places I found a hard time to get it done, saying that my 2012 honda civic was a laser key and had advanced security and had to be done at a dealership which would have cost twice as much as what Rob charged.
Tom M.
Just got off the phone with the representative that answered their 1-888-81-LOCKS number. It sounds like some referral company and the person who answered was not competent. I just wanted them to unlock and make keys for a truck bed cover. After explaining that multiple times and being on hold while she checked twice with someone else she asked me for a VIN number and started quoting prices. When I repeated this was not related to the VIN and calmly asked to speak with someone more knowledgeable she hung up. Perhaps if I had called the other number on the website I would have had better luck... but I chose to go elsewhere.
Dave D.
Outrageous prices. $295 to unlock a front door. A locksmith I know in the Bay Area, where things are usually more expensive, says we got taken and shouldn't have been charged more than $99 max.
Conrad B.
I needed a second set of keys and fob for my 2004 Acura. That requires cutting the key, matching it to the car's security system and computer, and programming the remotes. Quite involved. Posted experiences with Honda/Acura dealerships were mixed, but Robert at Locksmith Central came recommended. Called Robert and he could fit me in the same morning. Since I didn't expect him to stock transponder keys and remotes for every car out there, I came prepared and brought a Honda transponder key blank and an aftermarket fob, both of which I got online. Robert cut the key and it worked right off the bat. He then programmed the key to work with the car's security and electronics, and that worked right off the bat as well. He then programmed the second fob, and, again, he got it right on the first try. All work took less than an hour, and the charge was far less than what I would have had to pay at a dealership. Excellent service, excellent job. Highly recommended.
Aaron P.
Horrible experience. The gentlemen that helped me was extremely rude. He acted like he didn't want to do his job. He treated me with disrespect and had 0 customer service. Avoid this business like the plague. Will never do service with them again. If I could rate this place with 0 stars I would. Don't understand how this place is still in business.

We called Locksmith Central after waiting two hours for another locksmith who never showed up. It took a bit longer than the 20 minutes the guy told me on the phone; but when he arrived, the locksmith was very apologetic for the delay and he was extremely courteous, polite, and absolutely professional. He was able to get the keys out of our car less than a minute!

I had 2 deadbolt issues today at my home that needed to be serviced. After leaving a message, Robert called me back within a few minutes. Within the hour, he was at my door, fixed one deadbolt, changed out the other, along with a door knob/key set, all for a reasonable price. No hidden surprises, or agenda. He comes with knowledge, a service guarantee and a friendly disposition. Just the kind of small businesses we locals should support. Call Robert, you won't be disappointed!
Tim Z.
Very prompt service. Just a short distance away! My frozen key in the deadbolt was unfrozen and is now working. Thanks for the great work! Now I do not have to buy a new entry locking system.

My daughter lost her keys and they needed to have a special chip so we couldn't buy a key at Lowes or where ever. Mazda said it would be over $200 to get a new one. But they also said that locksmiths can often do the same thing for cheaper. We called Locksmith Central and they made us a new key for $95 and also said that since we had AAA they would probably pay for it!
Wes E.
They fixed it! Told me they'd be there in 20 minutes and showed up in three hours (did knock $10 off the total). It was a beast of a problem that I had spent five hours on. He fixed it in just over an hour working intensely on the ignition lock cylinder. Saved me quite a bunch if I had to tow it and have a mechanic fix it in who knows how many days. Very professional. Impressive cars with all kinds of tools in them and willing to travel all over. Only thing that prevented 5 stars was the promised time and way late arrival.

I bought a used Volkswagen Jetta, which only came with one key. Unfortunately, it's one of those fancy-shmancy jobbers that has a transponder chip in it, so I couldn't just bebop over to Agent Orange (Home Depot) , my usual quick-n-dirty key cutter. I started my research by talking with several Volkswagen dealers (including Elk Grove and Niello), who cheerfully offered to cut and program a basic valet key (no door remote) for $200+, and prices for one to match my current spiffy one - with a switch-blade-like-flip-out key and remote lock - started at over $300. So I started poking around on the internet again. I had found third-party keys starting at $69, but the dealers' warnings that they had never been successful in programming a key ordered off the internet (which I'm sure was probably part of their sales pitch to force me to buy one of theirs) nagged at the back of my brain. So I started searching for an ALOA-certified locksmith in my area, which lead me to Locksmith Central. I had spoken with a couple of locksmiths that charged $125 to $150 just for the programming, which was about what the dealers charged. Then I noticed that Locksmith Central was very local for me, so I gave him a call, and he told me it would be quick, easy, and only around $75-80. In short, Robert was great. I set up an appointment for the next morning, went over to his place of business. An hour later (he was interrupted by a couple of phone calls), I left with a perfectly functional valet key (he didn't have the remote fobs in stock, but told me he could probably program the more inexpensive ones I had seen on AutoTransponder.com) plus a free extra door key for emergency lockouts - all for only $85 including tax. So, if you are in need of a replacement transponder key for your car and live in the Sacramento/El Dorado Hills area, I definitely recommend Locksmith Central. And if you want one of the more fancy fobs with the remote entry, try AutoTransponder.com.

Don't know quite what to say about these guys. Went in about a month ago to get a key made. A nice young man helped me and did not have the key blank in stock, took my info and said he would call in a couple of days. 2 weeks later I call and get a "let me check and I will call you back". 2 more weeks, another call, same response
Cynthia Fernandez
Worst Service Ever! They are so rude, I called to see if they can come out to my buisness ans replace a lock. An Appt. was scheduled they said they called when they arrived yet never bothered to reach the second contact. I called them back after 2 hours the guy on the phone was a straight up smart ass with me. They said they would NOT go back out and do service in the most rude way possible to call someone else. Def. Not professionals.

MOST helpful locksmith in East Bay. After calling 10+ shops, these guys were the first to take the time to help me, search their inventory for the correct key blanks and provide some useful money-saving tips. Absolute lifesavers, great service. Highly recommend!

I didn't have an appointment with these people, I stopped by their shop to have some locks rekeyed. Well, some joneser snaked the tumbler out of one of the doorknobs I bought and returned it to Home Depot and I didn't notice, so they couldn't rekey that one obviously. Then they knocked the fee for one of the locks they did do off the tab, and offered to do the lock they couldn't do for free if I exchanged it for a good one due to the inconvenience which wasn't even their fault! So I bring in the good lock and they did it while I waited. Seldom do I give people 5 stars the first time, but Jesus what more can you expect from people?
Sajith S.
I was in urgent need or rekey-ing my home locks, and I called Bayside. Xavier attended the call. he sounded very friendly and professional. Gave me a rough estimate over the phone and fixed up an appointment for 10AM next day. It was very urgent, but he said he did not have anything on the same day. Next day, I took a few hours off from work, drove all the way to my new home and waited there. Nobody showed up. When I called the office, they did not have any clue about the appointment. I had to call someone else ( who did a great job btw), to fix it. I hate to deal with unreliable people. From other reviews looks like they do a good job, but my experience with them was bad . Wouldn't recommend them to anyone
Robert Bauman
I had my house keys stolen and needed two doors rekeyed. Their price was great and their field technician Xavier was even better. Even though he was late because of an earlier job(the office had kept me informed) he was extremely pleasant and efficient. Would use these guys again.
Patrick M.
Had a 2000 Nissan Maxima and a 1998 Honda civic having ignition key issues. The Maxima's key would not turn and the Honda key stuck extremely bad. Isaac (the owner) came out to my Honda with a can lubricant and showed me how to fix the issue and advised me to get a new key. I went home and use WD40 and did the very same thing to my Maxima and it started to work like new. He spent a good 30 minutes with me and only charged me the price for one key. Great customer service and in my case and new loyal customer.
Nicole M.
I came here awhile back to have a key copied, unfortunately I came 20 minutes before closing time to my surprise they were closed "early" for the day. Came back the next day and the staff was extremely rude and provided very little help.

I had Xavier from Bayside Locksmith come out to originally cut a key for my 95 Ford Explorer. Once Xavier began to work on it he noticed that I needed a new ignition switch. I saved over $50 dealing with Bayside Locksmith and would gladly recommend them to anybody. Thank You Xavier and Bayside Locksmith.

Went to get a price on a remote programmed. Guy said it must be a remote from GM or they can't do it. If that was the case I'll just go to the dealer. Plus they want an arm and a leg just for a remote. Took my remotes purchased from Amazon and got em programmed from a friend who had a programmer.
Terry L.
Very satisfied with the work that Bayside Locksmith did to order and program my 2nd 2010 Toyota Prius key fob! It took about a week to get the key fob (due to the 4th of July holiday). Once it arrived, one of their techs programmed the 2nd key fob quickly. It probably took him less than 10 minutes. Their team was courteous and professional. All features worked - comfort access, open/close using remote, and panic button. Their laser cutter was offline but they will contact me to finish cutting the valet key that is part of the key fob. Price was much lower than Toyota also. I'm glad I took my friends recommendation and used Bayside locksmith. Highly recommend them to duplicate Toyota Prius keys!

After calling three places for quotes for 5 lock re keys after a car theft I came back to my first call- it was totally the right decision!! Xavier was the best ...double checking each lock and was professional and efficient. I highly recommend this company. Especially the technician Xavier who took a stressful situation and made it much better.
Frankie L.
Went to the store to get a estimate on getting a key made for my car with remote cut and program. the man at the counter was very rude with a bad attitude quoted me a higher price than what the dealer charges and try to tell me the dealer doesn't program the key...
Wilfredo Alarcon
Way over priced for a fob replacement and the machine always seems to be broken. Other places will get it done faster for a lesser price.
Michael V.
Xavier came to my warehouse over the weekend I had lost my keys not only was he fast professional and made me laugh, the price was less then I was quoted over the phone. Thank you again I will be giving bayside locksmith all of my business.
Keshni K.
Confirmed that someone will be at my house at 11am...called this morning at 1125am, they stated they will be at my house within 30mins (between 11am-1130am) now It's 1229pm....still no answer. Spoke with Joseph at 1229pm who started the driver will be at my house within next 30mins??? Currently waiting...its 1230pm...so let's wait if someone do show up in 30mins...Poor Customer Service! Took time out from my Work to wait here since 11am...I made my appointment 48hrs ahead of time.....??? Will update my comments after they finally show-up?? UPDATE:- At 1pm Joseph called me back and Cancelled my Appointment. WOW!!!! What a poor service. I just paid someone $120 to get my house key lock changed. They just lost a $120 business to another company. I work in Largest Trauma Center Hospital in the Bay Area and Customer Service is very important in Healthcare. Money is not the issues I would had paid $800 for my door but the Customer Service Provided, made me wait for 3 hours and then cancel my Appointment that I made 48hrs ago??? WOW! I see over 400 people a day at my work....and I will make sure I Spend the bad news about BAYSIDE LOCKSMITH to enter Hayward community......please don't do business with them! You will be very disappointed just like my family.

I had such a positive experience that I knew I wanted to share it on Yelp. I contacted BaySide LockSmith because they are a Diamond Certified company. I like using Diamond Certified companies because they go through an extensive vetting process. My locksmith was Xavier. I'm sure they're all good, but what stood Xavier out in my mind was his professionalism and speed. I asked him to rekey five locks for me. I also had a troublesome deadbolt that would decide if it wanted to open or not! Xavier fixed this issue too. If I could give BaySide more than five stars I would!
Dano S.
I was having some issues with my car keys and these guys totally helped me out! They were a lot more honest and helpful than the dealership! Saved me over $50 by having them help me instead of the dealer! Thanks guys!
Monica G.
Xavier was so honest and fair with us. We had been under the impression that we only needed one re-key for two identical locks. He explained why we need 2, but was willing to only charge for 1. Exceptional customer service! I give Xavier 5*, but since the owner didn't tell us we'd be charged for 2 locks, only 4*. Monica
Rodney A.
Fast, local honest small business. Reasonably priced compared to the local competitors. Xavier and his team super professional. Thanks for helping out in bind
Linda K.
I took in my broken doorknob assembly and rather than just sell me a replacement they determined the problem, fixed it and it cost me less than half of a new door knob! And whenever i have keys made there, they always work. Great job! Linda K.

Xavier saved the day!! I manage a large retail store in the bay area. The lock on our cash room broke at closing and without access to that room,we wouldn't be able to open for cash transactions the next day. I called Bayside at 8pm and he promised to meet me 2 hours prior to opening. Xavier was right on time,as promised. He was able to get the door open right away, charged EXACTLY what he had quoted the night before, took my card info over the phone so I didn't have to make a special trip in Monday morning traffic and sent my invoice via email immediately. Quick, honest, skilled and efficient!! Thanks Bayside!!!

Terrible. The little office absolutely reeks of pot. Made obvious by the fans in the back pointed out a window. I don't care about smoking, but it is very unprofessional to have customers crammed into an office that they have been hot boxing. Asked for a copy of my house key to be made, the guy spent a good 5 minutes looking at it and comparing it to the key templates they have. I take it home, try it on my door, it doesn't work. I look at it and it's nowhere close to the same key. My mistake not looking at the key there in the office because, you know, I thought they couldn't mess up something as simple as making a copy of a key but they did. Go elsewhere, somewhere more professional and work with locksmiths that actually have what knowledge it takes to make a copy of a key.

Today bad got worse as it developed, somehow my car keys left my possession between the time I left my car and arrived at work. I Googled locksmith and called to get help. The company I contacted was locksmith emergency. They quoted me $15 for the service call and $190 for the key. When the technician met up with me, he informed me that he could make a key, but to get the key to start the car, it would take special programming, an additional $300. Then as it progressed, he informed me it would cost more to reprogram the car so my lost fob would not be able to work. It all said, my $190 quote ended up costing $1062. When I called when I got home, I was advised that since I agreed to their prices, there was no redress. All I can say is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
David A.
It was sunday morning when I locked myself out from the house. Locksmith Emergency Inc provided prompt service, and knowledgeable technician, Leo. He came and took care of letting me in the house and also installed a new lock that works excellently. If you live on the Peninsula and don't want to wait indefinitely to get a locksmith definitely give them a call!
Cameron E.
Tried everything to get my truck open and it wasnt working. Finally on a hunch he used some other tools and it popped open. Thanks locksmith emergency. Ill definitely recomend to friends

We need to rekey the lock at the front door. Changing the whole lock would be very expensive, so we checked out alternatives for doing this and we called their service. Luis came here really quick (in like 10 minutes) and got the job done well. The rate is reasonable.
Tracey A.
Arrived within 20 minutes to unlock my door knob. Nick was friendly and professional, and got the job done with no hassle. Thank you!
Patrice E.
Very nice gentleman, Gregory, came out to fix my door knob....came out quickly and then recommended the best thing to do and he did it. It was a pleasure to have business with Gregory and with Locksmith....if ever you need lock problems, this is the place.
Max M.
Be very careful if you search this company on smart phone. It's very tricky. 1. The headline says $15, but ended up with $400!! So many hidden cost but on the smartphone, you cannot even click their website. 2. The address is no where. It's not Menlo park, as well as Redwood city. 3. The guy who shows up smells full of marijuana.
Sandile H.
Amazing locksmith service- they were fast and well-equipped to deal with our lock. Also very transparent about the cost. I would definitely use them again if I'm in a pinch!
Carolina M.
We had a bedroom lock out. I looked up a locksmith online and discovered this company. Everything they claim is wrong, except the service fee. I waited almost an hour for someone to come. The job took him 5 minutes, all he did was use one tool to pull of part of the handle, and another tool to turn the lock. I did everything else, that means take out the old lock and handle and replace it with a new one. He asked for $129 (not including the service fee)!!! I was shocked!!! The website claims lockouts start at $30, and I assume the service fee is for the driving to and from a place. CANNOT recommend this company!!!

My mom and I had just been Christmas grocery shopping and had been going in and out of the house. Then the screen door locked behind us and we were locked out. Gabriel answered the call and was to my mom's house within an hour. He knew exactly what the issue was and replaced it on the spot. Price was very reasonable and he was a nice guy as well. If mom ever needs help again, she'll give him a ring. Gabriel also has a brick and mortar store, which is great too. Thanks!
Chris O.
Scam. Charged me $300 for a $25 lock and waited until AFTER they changed the lock to tell me that they couldn't fix one of the main things I called them out for -- the doorknob being very loose -- saying they didn't have the proper tool. Guy said "you need to call a locksmith". What?? I thought I had. So what? Now I have to call Someone else out and pay them $300 to tighten a doorknob? If you'd told me you couldn't fix the doorknob (which he clearly knew before changing the lock but didn't tell me), then I would have called someone else. I feel scammed and the job is only half done.
Jaeson A.
Gabriel came to our house in 15mins and fixes 6 doors of ours. He was exceptional at his work. I will surely recommend him to anyone who needs a good jobs on their locks.

We got locked out of our car and called up a service. The tech arrived on time as promised. He provided great service by opening our car in the fastest way. Next time I will encounter such emergency I know who to call. Highly recommended!

Our office had to get our locks changed recently and we contacted Gabriel who was extremely helpful and QUICK! He was in and out and very professional. We would recommend him to anyone or any company looking for help quickly!

BIGGEST PIECE OF CRAP OUTFIT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH! Wasted 2 hours of my time today! They tried to quote me $250 to make a door key for a 1997 Ford E-350 Van. After I told them no way, I was told $130 by the locksmith who arrived. Then they called and said $200. I said no and they told me $180 and I agreed. All of this while his loud mouth, clueless poor excuse for a Locksmith struggled to figure out what he was doing. On the cell phone for most of the time speaking whatever language it was very loudly in the street. I kept checking to see what was going on with my Van key progress and he was still on the phone. I went back again and he was gone! He called and said he didnt have the right machine etc etc..I called AAA instead $50! Watch out for these con artists

They sold me the wrong key, my car has remote start and the key I was sold does not. They said that they would order a replacement and swap it out in a week. I called 2x and gotten the run around for over a month. Paying $180 for a $25 key you would think they would make sure you where set. Nice scam you have going here.

Got a replacement key for a VW Jetta. Fast, friendly, efficient service. Very cost effective compared to dealership.
S J.
I lost the keys to my Lexus, and had to have it towed to the dealership. The AAA tow truck driver recommended that I go to ampm locksmith because I could get the keys a couple hundred dollars cheaper. I went to ampm, ordered two keys and went on my way. 30 days later the one key that I used every day broke. The other key I was able to use, but after 30 days that key started to fall apart. I also began to have issues with my electrical system because for some reason the key and my car could not communicate properly and it was creating issues with my windows, door and locks, but I don't know why. I would recommend to not waste any money on purchasing a brand name vehicle key from this company, because they're not the real thing, they are fake. I would go to the dealers and save yourself the time and grief. The owner would not reimburse me after 30 days!
Kris K.
Contacted AMPM on Wed to see if they could make a key for a lock. They asked that I send a picture to determine if they could make a new key for the lock. They said they could and it would take 1 hour. My wife dropped it off before 2pm and was told it would take a day. Was unable to pick up on Thur. but went in at lunch on Friday and they had not worked on the lock yet. The people working there did not seem to care that they had not done what they said they were going to do. I had to wait for them to complete the work, as I needed the lock for the weekend. When I came back to pick up the lock, they talked amongst themselves to determine what they were going to charge me. I pointed out that when I sent them the picture that the price quoted was $25. They said that seemed low but they would honor it. I was surprised that this was their comment after not completing the work when they said they would. If anything I would think they would have offered a discount since they wasted my time. The only reason they are not getting one star was because the key they made did work. However, I will definitely find another locksmith next time.

Chida and his staff are extremely helpful. Order was completed on time and as promised. I will take future business to them for sure.

Very fast response and they clearly knows what they are doing, very reasonable price as well. Highly recommended to everyone for any type of auto car key laser cut and programming.

I wanted a replacement for my Toyota electronic key. I called and was told they could do it at the Concord location. I had to go there 4 times, each time being told they could do it. Finally they said they needed to get the key and ordered it. They said they would call me and come to my house to make the key. They never called even after I ran into the manager at Costco. Absolutely terrible customer service and communication. Finally I called a competitor (Quick Keys) did it the next day.
Lori N.
Needed to get a key copied yesterday and this place was super quick. I was literally in and out in two minutes. Great job, super friendly service! I'll definitely be back in the future and they carry a great assortment of car fobs in additional to locks, etc.
Dawn R.
Just had them over as I had lost my car keys and could not get into my car. I had previously bought a spare key from Amazon but had never got round to programming it as it was a smart key. They came within the hour and although they couldn't program the car initially, he sent his son with a different machine and it was programmed within 5 minutes. Very happy with the price and the service and would use them again if required. Only way I'm giving 4 stars is I had to wait until his son came the different machine otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Called in 3 days ago, made an appointment, they showed up, they couldn't fix the problem and told me that they'll be back to fix it ASAP once they figure out what's going on, they were to get back to Me the same day, never got a call, called them that evening and same guy I spoke to over the phone earlier that day said they'll call me back right away to let me know what's going on, NO CALL, NO SHOW. Called them the next morning to found out what happened... the same man I spoke too said they will certainly get back to me within the next 30 to 40 minutes, AGAIN! never got a call back or an explanation, I can't understand how a company can run a business that they're number one priority is customer service/customer communication. I can understand such things occurring/happening in between jobs which may not allow them to return to work or complete a previous job but not to call back to explain or apologize is what I'm disappointed at. Anyway, I'll never call them again or ask for their services but thank you anyway. Hope you get the time to educate your team on some people skills!
Doug W.
The ignition cylinder on my 2001 Toyota was having problems turning. The car could not be started easily. The dealer quote was high, but he let slip that they were only going to call a locksmith. So instead of paying for a locksmith with markup, I called AMPM. They fixed the ignition cylinder. The same key works in all locks. And they reprogrammed my key fobs, all for less than half of what the Toyota dealer estimated.
Adam B.
Only deal w the gentlemen he knows what he talking about and will give you the right price and service.. The 2 females behind the counter are clueless wanted to charge me almost 2x what the gentlemen quoted me and went from 30 min service to almost 2 hrs when the girls took over
Tina Y.
Thanks for attaching my keys together, but it was a complicated one where they need to put chips in the key, so they need to reset the car. Thanks for the help by manager and owner

Excellent service! Very nice people and gave me a great discount as well. They were open after business hours and helped me at 5:30. 10/10 would recommend

I came to AM PM Locksmith in a panic since the battery on my car key went out. Alexis helped me out and was so kind, and so quick! He gave my girls snacks and water while we waited, and the price was beyond reasonable (a lot less than I was expecting, actually!) I'll be coming back for all of our key needs, and would highly recommend this shop to everyone. Thanks, Alexis!

I was very pleased with my experience from their Livermore location. Could only see this one but I know they are fairly new to Livermore. The man that helped me come out on a Sunday eve was so helpful. He got here in 20 minutes at night and the cost was cheaper than anyone else. Great experience!
Bird S.
Called yesterday, said they'd call back. Didn't. Called again, said they'd be here at 10am today. They weren't. Called them at 10:30, they were disrespectful on the phone. Made excuses. Gave us a 40 minute wait time. Finally got here, estimated it to take 1 hour. 2 and half hours later, they can't fix the mistake. They won't answer our questions. The mechanic, who we understood was just doing his best & couldn't fix it, was rude when we asked him how much longer it would be (past the estimated time). Then, instead of asking us if we wanted our car towed (the reason we picked his service instead of someone else's was that they specifically said it didn't need to be towed & could fix in our parking garage), or discussing with us at all, he called his manager, and said they needed to tow our car. When we said we'd rather tow through our insurance, and that's why we picked them (who agreed to fixing it in the garage without towing), he became verbally hostile with my fiancé. I called his manager, assuming he would want to know the horrible overall experience we had in order to improve customer service. Instead he yelled at me, argued that our car shouldn't be having the issue he agreed he could rectify, & told me I shouldn't expect his mechanic to answer our questions.

Amazing job! This is the second time I used them. Honestly will never go to anyone else. Lost my only set of keys. They were able to get someone out super fast. They made two copies. Did the job super quick and pricing was a bargain! I called dealership they charged me over 1200 dollars to get two keys made and had to tow my car to them. They are super efficient and quick and did no harm to my vehicle. Truly impressed with their unlocking skills! I truly recommend them to anyone I see with key issues. Vijay did a truly amazing job!! Very happy to have my keys! Thanks!

This place never lets me down. I even come here when I need simple keys that I can get at Home Depot, or anywhere that cuts keys. Try finding the key person at a place like Home Depot, bring a lunch, it’s gonna take awhile. But these guys aren’t hard to find. They greet you when you come in the door. They promptly get you what you need, or special order it if they don’t have it. Never once have they let me down. I highly recommend these guys to anyone. From simple things to hard to find things, this is the place.

I called because I thought I had locked my car keys in the trunk, when actually they were found in my office building. The response was prompt and they canceled my request with no hassle at all. I don't hope to ever need to call on them again, but if I do I would only trust them.

Been here twice to get a key copied. Both times they couldn't do it. I thought I was at a locksmith lol

I needed new car keys cut and programmed. Cheedah provides me with excellent service and 50% less than what the dealer would have charged me. He was fast, attentive and explained how the car key reprogramming works. I will be back to shop with him again.

Yelp find. My car key battery was dying on me so I came here to get it changed out. Found this place on yelp when I did a search for keys. It's location is pretty convenient being that it's on the main road, but if you're driving on Crow Canyon coming from the freeway and going towards Alcosta, you'll have to make a u-turn. I was in and out in 5 minutes. They took my key, replaces the battery, and gave me my key back real quick. Perfect for me cause I have other places to go. Cost was $10.85...not sure if this is cheap or expensive so you decide. Also not sure if price is based on the make and model of your car. I would like to add a note about their customer service. If you're looking for a place that's going to chat with you, smile, or get to know you then I suggest going somewhere else. The guy who helped me, BJ, didn't smile or partake in small talk. He was just direct and too the point, which was fine with me honestly. I have another car key that needs a new battery so I'll probably come back because they got the job done and fast.

I officially retract my previous review as this place is extremely suspect. I called to get the prius fob done and quoted me $200. I went in today the girl asks me, did you call beforehand to get a quote? Yes, $200. She calls her boss, he's apparently says no, everyone gets $220. What the heck? I come all the way here to be lied to? And why does she even have to ask if I got a quote beforehand? So sorry, you don't get my business if you're going to be so shady.
